POP MART Opens Largest Store in Century City

POP MART, the renowned designer toy and entertainment brand, has announced the openings of two new permanent stores in Los Angeles county. The new stores are located in two of LA’s largest and most esteemed shopping centers, including the largest flagship to date in Westfield Century City Mall and Glendale Galleria.

Along with the grand opening of the Westfield Century City location, which at 2,131 sq ft is POP MART’s largest flagship store to date, the new location will also debut a new collection, Peach Riot, from the brand’s first US artist, LA-native Libby Frame. With their edgy, street-smart style and cute but tough demeanors, Peach Riot is an all-girl band certain to rock the worlds of grunge-lovers of all genders and ages. The Westfield Century City grand opening event on February 10 will also include the attendance of Libby Frame!

The grand opening, which starts at 10 am PT, will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Executive Vice President of Real Estate Luis Barrientos, followed by a meet-and-greet with Libby Frame with a designated autograph signing, round-table discussion, and audience Q&A. The festivities will also include music, refreshments, and gifts. Exclusive pieces on display include the DIMOO Rejuvenating Version figure, one of the latest creations by POP MART artist AyanLuis Barrientos shares, “As a California native, I am thrilled about the new POP MART store openings, and the opportunity to connect with our fans at the Century City grand opening.” As a result of the recent highly successful opening in Westfield Valley Fair and increasing popularity across the west coast, POP MART is continuing to expand its presence in the United States with these new locations.

POP MART now stands at 7 stores across both coasts, having received overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans and growing immensely popular with the Gen Z community. Herschel Supply Collaborates with Tuff Gong, Launches Limited Collection

There’s a hot new biopic on the way, and just in time, a new collection from Herschel Supply has launched ahead of its release.

Herschel Supply has partnered with Tuff Gong, the Kingston recording studio Bob Marley founded in 1970 – known as the home of reggae where he produced his greatest works – to release a limited new collection. The new Tuff Gong x Herschel Supply collection has been crafted to capture the essence of Marley’s creative spirit and cultural impact with designs and prints in tote bags, headwear, and more.

All products from the collection will be available ahead of the release of the biopic, “Bob Marley: One Love” on February 14, 2024. Through this collection, Herschel comes together with Tuff Gong, reflecting on Marley’s voice, messaging, and music as the “soundtrack of our brand,” while paying homage to the singer and songwriter. The designs of the bags and totes in the new collection are immediately classic with their retro-modern styles and earthy color ways with subtle details. The apparel offerings pay tribute to Bob Marley, featuring the iconic images of 6 of the legend’s album covers.

About Tuff Gong

In 1970, Bob Marley founded Tuff Gong Records, previously headquartered at 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica, now home of the iconic Bob Marley Museum. Bob had purchased the property with his wife, Rita, in 1974 and operated Tuff Gong here until his transition in 1981. In 1986, Rita Marley established the museum at the Hope Road location, having moved Tuff Gong to 220 Marcus Garvey Drive in Downtown Kingston.

A Fitting New First

In an unbelievable first, Herschel Supply has opened its first store in the state of California — and most notably, it’s located in Santa Monica! This is perhaps something we could’ve all assumed already existed, given how the brand easily captures the SoCal vibe, but Herschel Supply has now made it a reality.

Herschel Supply, opened the doors to its first-ever California store on Saturday, August 19th, and in a prime location, it’s expected to be a hit. The 2,300-square-foot store is located at 1450 3rd Street Promenade and mirrors the distinctive energy of Santa Monica energy. Herschel’s Co-Founders Jamie and Lyndon Cormack collaborated with their in-house design team a Herschel’s Industrial Designer, Christopher Spears, to create an immersive customer experience and space with a clear juxtaposition of mixed materials, old and new, to evoke the brightness and airiness of a beach house.

Additionally, the space ties into its beachside location with white painted beams, pale pink dressing rooms, and a tile-wrapped cash desk. The store also includes images captured by renowned photographer Stephen Wilde

The Santa Monica store offers a wide selection of Herschel products, including but not limited to:
